For many years now,
we have been using lead-free jigheads exclusively. Our lead-free design is not
only better for the environment, as has been shown by the elimination of lead
paint, most (if not all) lead in gasoline and now even the banning of lead lures
from some streams in the west, it is better for you. Now really, do you
want your kids or grandkids handling lead lures and then sticking their fingers
in their mouths? If lead is so bad, then why use it? We don’t.
In addition to doing
a small part to keep lead out of our waters, you also get the benefit of a
jighead which will not tarnish (oxidize) over time like lead does. And, on top
of that, our lead-free lures, since they weigh less than lead*, will fall
slower, staying in the strike zone a little longer*l
The benefits are
many, but the cost is very close to lead, so why would you use lead jigheads?
*Our
lead free lures are sold by comparative size of lead lures, not weight. That
is, our 1/32 jighead is equal in size to a 1/32 leadhead, but weighs slightly
less. You should notice little if any difference when casting. |
