Fishing
is very big blessing to us, and we are thankful for the times spent and
hopefully yet to come fishing with family and friends. In addition to time spent
with loved ones, the joy of being outdoors, just think of all the wonderful
sights you see in God's creation-trees and water, fish and wildlife and who
could forget the beautiful sunrises and sunsets, especially over your favorite
lake, pond or river. We love to fish! And we feel like the Lord must love
fishermen, to bless us so much. Ray Scott was quoted in BASSMASTER
magazine one time as saying that Jesus loved fishermen so much that He chose four of
them to be his disciples!
Besides our name, our lure and those beautiful
bluegill, a part of the logo on our website, and also on our lure packaging, is
a fish with a cross in the heart of it. The
fish emblem was used as a secret sign among the early Christians to indicate
that they were believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. At that time the Church was
being persecuted, and anyone found to be worshipping the Savior could be
killed for their beliefs. The
fish was chosen as the symbol due to the fact that the initial letters of the
Greek words for "Jesus Christ, God's Son, Savior" spell the Greek
word for fish (IXOYC).
As
mentioned on our front page, and as shown on our lure packaging, we give
God the Glory for the Fish-N-Spin™, and all of our lures. We believe, as
recorded in the Bible in James 1:17, that "Every
good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of
Heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."
And we thank God for His blessings, including our family, our friends, our
customers, all of whom have contributed so much to the success of our
business. And also for the blessing of fishing. But even more so, we thank
Him for His Son, our Savior.
If
you are searching for answers in your life, turn to Jesus. If you feel
troubled, like you are carrying a heavy burden, do as 1st Peter 5:7 says and
"Cast
all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." He cares
so much for you that He willingly laid down His life for you. Not just for the
whole world, but specifically for you!
If

2, and
especially verses 36-47. Jesus is the only way to the Father, and He loves you. He is the Light of
the World, and He will lead you to His Father, if you will follow Him.
